THEN & NOW: PREACHING & TEACHING

Greater St. Peter Baptist Church of Watson, Louisiana was established more than a century ago on March 20, 1916. As it was then, so it is now: a small country church with a big heart and an even bigger message: JESUS SAVES!

SMALL CHURCH BIG IMPACT

This is a church where everyone matters and the Bible is the standard. We are a church small enough for members to know and care for the concerns of one another and earnest enough to carry forth the light of the great Gospel commission.

Welcome!

This is greater st. peter baptist church

Our mission is to exalt God and his kingdom purposes upon the earth. To do that, we believe that the Bible is the instrument which dispatches the directives we must both live by and proclaim.

Our cry to the lost is: "Repent and be saved." Our stance is one of holiness. Our exhortation to those who affirm belief, eat the whole roll; man does not live by bread alone, but by the Word of God: every word of God is true. Our position in the world: Jesus Christ is the Son of God and He came to bring healing to the whole man.

Our mandate to the redeemed: "Together let us put on the whole armor of God and work while it is day."

Our goal is to positively influence the lives of people with God's free gift of love, a message which transcends racial, social, economic, cultural and political divisors. Our goal is to help individuals to understand that the power and standards of God are real, alive and impactive in today's ever changing world.

Member Spotlight

William perry Robinson

A recent high school graduate, William Perry Robinson is affectionately know as "Trey". Brother Trey is a beloved member of the GSPBC Senior Choir. In December 2022 applauds went up for Brother Trey's stupendous accomplishment in successfully completing the Navy's military bootcamp. Trey achieved the ranking of "Navy Seaman Recruit William Robinson". During his bootcamp training Trey was named second in command in his baton. Trey is soft spoken and kind and a wonderful demonstration that young men can and do serve God.

MACKENZIE LONDON

Mackenzie London - Named the 2022 head coach for the LOYFA Football A Team! Coach Mackenzie is pictured with his lovely wife Dedria, (who is the GSPBC financial secretary), and their three wonderful children: Avery, Makayla, and Zachary. Brother Mackenzie is also a farmer and selfless servant at Greater St. P! He is a hardworking person tackling in one week what it might take many of us to do in a month: working full-time, managing a farm, coaching football and being available to his mother and family. Mackenzie lives life with a wonderful work/life balance: as he makes time for himself with his favorite hobbies: fishing and hunting.

miguel carter

Miguel Carter is a friendly and faithful youth at Greater St. P. He is gifted in singing. Miguel is now a middle schooler! He maintains honor roll grades and sings in churches through-out many parts of Louisiana. To boot, Miguel loves learning about and discussing the Bible!

During this celebration Miguel met the major of Baton Rouge. Greater St. P. is thankful for young Miguel and for the wonderful job his lovely grandmother (Sister Rose Carter) is doing in raising him!

Pamela london

Pam London was blessed with a kidney! After 11 years of dialysis and faithfully holding on to God's promise of healing on June 28, 2022 Sister Pam received a kidney, not daunted by the fact that she was not 2nd, not first on the. list she knew this time the kidney was hers! Sister Pamela aka "Miracle" received a liver years before. Sister Pam faithfully serves as a deaconess and prayer leader. She is an inspiration throughout Live Oaks, Watson & Dennis Mills and Amite Communities!

ROSA CARTER

We at Greater St. Peter Baptist Church are incredibly blessed to have Sister Rosa Carter (pictured in red) as the Youth Sunday School Teacher! She has successfully raised three grandchildren, active in the church and community and an inspiration to many!
